New Interoperability Enhancements

Throughout product development today, there's an ever-increasing demand for greater MCAD system interoperability, as well as a need for high quality, flexible, and robust data exchange interfaces. In Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, PTC engineers have stepped up to the plate by greatly extending the data exchange capabilities in Pro/E.

Cross Release Interoperability Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire uses ATB (Associative Topology Bus) technology to provide cross-release compatibility with earlier Pro/E releases, so there's no problem exchanging models with design/development partners or suppliers who have yet to upgrade from a recent edition of Pro/E. For Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire users, it's as easy as executing a "Save As" command.

Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and Pro/E 2001 Overview Animation You can now open Pro/E Wildfire Parts and Assemblies in R2000i2 and R2001. The Associative Topology Bus allows user to make changes in Pro/E Wildfire and update R2000i2 and R2001 models. This allows you to create downstream deliverables in earlier releases for Pro/E Wildfire models.

INTERFACE For Parasolids Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire offers a new level of interoperability with Unigraphics, SolidEdge and SolidWorks through the Parasolids interface.

Parasolids Import Pro/E Wildfire offers improved interoperability through the exchange of solids, shells and wireframe geometry including "xmt" text and binary types.

INTERFACE For Stheno/PRO We've introduced powerful new drawing capabilities for creating individual views. Best of all, you can work with your existing Pro/ENGINEER drawings.

Creating 2D Detail In Pro/ENGINEER Drawing First, you simply bring up a Pro/ENGINEER drawing in Stheno/PRO. From there, you use all the available functionality to build views using 2D tools like geometry, notes and dimensions.
