  Launch of PTC University

The new PTC University means more classes, more value, and more convenient ways to learn about Pro/INTRALINK or any other PTC product. In this blog I will discuss PTC University’s live classroom and web-based training options for Pro/INTRALINK customers and how they can help accelerate the adoption of Pro/INTRALINK or Windchill PDMLink.

We have divided the courses up into two major groups; user and administrator courses. For new users we recommend either an Instructor Led approach or Web- based approach. The Instructor Led Training courses are 2 days in length each and are called “Using Pro/INTRALINK” and “Introduction to Windchill PDMLink”. These same course are available in an easy to use and modularized Web-based Training format. This format allows the user to dive into the particular modules that are right for them given their job role and take the training at their own pace. For both new Pro/INTRALINK and PDMLink users the same options are available. All classes include short lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises as well as a short knowledge check to help you understand where you might need some more practice. Of course we also offer on-site training for those organizations that are looking for more company specific training.

For Administrators we strongly recommend an Instructor Led Approach. Both our Admin course for Pro/INTRALINK (Administering Pro/INTRALINK) and PDMLink (Windchill PDMLink Business Administration) are scheduled throughout our various PTC University Training Centers. In both cases they are 3 day course and include a chance to utilize live software to learn all the details of administering this new software. For those who are looking to migrate from Pro/INTRALINK 3.4 there is also a 2 day migration course (Pro/INTRALINK Data Migration) but this is solely aimed for customers looking to do this migration without the help of any outside party.
