  • PTC/Setup
    • PTC/Setup is the installation program used by most PTC products.  After January 10th it will no longer be possible to install many CDs that use PTC/Setup.
    • The following CDs require the new PTC/Setup:

  • CAD Generation
    • The CAD generation capabilities of Windchill DynamicDesignLink Release 6.2.6 are performed by one or more copies of Pro/ENGINEER that are installed on designated CAD Worker machines.  Each of these Pro/ENGINEER installations must be corrected using the same NMSD downloadable patch.  Please follow the instructions at the location listed below.

  • Windchill Visualization Services (WVS)
    • Windchill DynamicDesignLink will not be able to generate Pro/ENGINEER models or viewables.  This capability utilizes functionality provided by the Pro/ENGINEER File Adapter DLL.  This capability will fail unless corrected using the instructions provided below.

Resolution – Please refer to Impact section to determine which resolution steps are necessary for your system then the Files and Instructions section to obtain related updates.

  • PTC/SetupThis file is required to run PTC/Setup from an existing CD or CD Image.  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for PTC/Setup below.

  • Windchill DynamicDesignLink CAD Generation
    • NMSD - The CAD generation capabilities of Windchill DynamicDesignLink Release 6.2.6 are performed by one or more copies of Pro/ENGINEER that are installed on designated CAD Worker machines.  Each of these Pro/ENGINEER installations must be updated using the same NMSD downloadable file.  Please follow the instructions listed for appropriate release of Pro/ENGINEER at the location listed below.
  • Windchill Visualization Services (WVS)
    • File Adapter DLL -  This Temporary Patch is required to allow automatic assignment of Pro/ENGINEER calculated values to matching IBAs. This patch is the same as the one provided for Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER 2001. When available, download this new file and follow the instructions for the “Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER File Adapter” below.
  • Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER 2001
    • Pro/ENGINEER Software UpdateTo allow both the ability to start Pro/ENGINEER 2001 from a Windchill Workgroup Workspace and open Pro/ENGINEER models from a Workspace, a new build of Pro/ENGINEER must be installed.  This build is Pro/ENGINEER Datecode 2003441 or later.  Therefore, when this build becomes available, it is recommended that a new installation be performed. If you install this new Datecode you DO NOT need to apply the NMSD fix.  However, with this new build of Pro/ENGINEER 2001 it is still necessary to apply the File Adapter DLL patch.
    • NMSD - This update will allow Pro/ENGINEER to start from a Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER Workspace.  This downloadable file will replace the current NMSD file in your Pro/ENGINEER installation.  This option is available if an update of Pro/ENGINEER is not possible.  Please follow the instructions listed for appropriate release of Pro/ENGINEER at the location listed below.
    • Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER File Adapter DLL – This Temporary Patch is required to allow for successful upload and download using the Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER 2001.  When available, download this new file and follow the instructions for the “Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER File Adapter” below.
  • Windchill Workgroup Manager for Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire
    • Pro/ENGINEER Software Update Customers must upgrade their Pro/ENGINEER software to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Datecode 2003451 or later.
