Pro/INTRALINK 3.1 (Single-Site and Multi-Site) - Timeout Resource Page

This Product Resource page covers the impact the Timeout issue has on this product/release, what options are available to address the impact, and provide additional information including Files and Instructions necessary to resolve the Timeout issue.

This will impact ALL datecodes of Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.1 client ONLY.  The Pro/INTRALINK Data Server is NOT affected.

Impact

  • PTC/Setup - Migrating the Pro/INTRALINK data server from Release 2.0 to Release 3.1 on UNIX ONLY may fail due to issues with PTC/SETUP.
  • NMSD - Pro/INTRALINK will not be able to launch linked sessions of Pro/ENGINEER. Pro/ENGINEER will not be able to effectively communicate with Pro/INTRALINK.
  • Pro/INTRALINK Client libraries - None

 

Note:  Windows Platforms are NOT affected by the PTC/Setup issue.

Note:  All Platforms are unaffected by the Pro/INTRALINK Client library issue for Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.1.

Resolution – Please refer to Impact section to determine which resolution steps are necessary for your system then the Files and Instructions section to obtain related updates.

  • PTC/SetupThis file is required to run PTC/Setup from an existing CD or CD Image in order to complete a migration of the Pro/INTRALINK data server from Release 2.0 to Release 3.1.  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for PTC/Setup below.
  • NMSDThis file is required to run the current Release and Build of software you have installed.  This file will replace the current NMSD file in your current installations allowing them to function beyond January 10, 2004.  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for NMSD below.

PTC/Setup Files

·        ONLY required for the creation of the Pro/INTRALINK data server migration folder from Release 2.0 to Release 3.1 on UNIX.  This is the first step in the Migration from Pro/INTRALINK Release 2.0 to Release 3.1.
