Pro/INTRALINK 3.3 (Single-Site and Multi-Site) - Timeout Resource Page

This Product Resource page covers the impact the Timeout issue has on this product/release, what options are available to address the impact, and provide additional information including Files and Instructions necessary to resolve the Timeout issue.

This will impact Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.3 Datecode 2002470/2002471 and Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.3 Datecode 2003290 on the client ONLY.  The Pro/INTRALINK Data Server is NOT affected.

Impact

  • PTC/Setup - None.
  • NMSD - Pro/INTRALINK will not be able to launch linked sessions of Pro/ENGINEER. Pro/ENGINEER will not be able to effectively communicate with Pro/INTRALINK.
  • Pro/INTRALINK Client libraries and proe.exe - For Windows only, the following Workspace operations will no longer function properly with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire: #Object #Import/Export, #Object #New, #Object #Integrate.

 

Note:  All Platforms are unaffected by the PTC/Setup issue for Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.3.

Note: Unix Platforms are NOT affected by the Pro/INTRALINK Client library issue

Resolution – Please refer to Impact section to determine which resolution steps are necessary for your system then the Files and Instructions section to obtain related updates.

  • NMSDThis file is required to run the current Release and Build of software you have installed.  This file will replace the current NMSD file in your current installations allowing them to function beyond January 10, 2004.  When available, download the files and follow the Instructions for NMSD below.
  • Pro/INTRALINK Client libraries – These files are required to resolve the issue with #Object #Import/Export, #Object #New, and #Object #Integrate with Pro/ENGINEER 2001 or Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire beyond January 10, 2004.  When available, download the files and follow the instructions for Pro/INTRALINK Client Libraries below.
  • proe.exe – In addition to downloading the new Pro/INTRALINK client libraries, customers using Pro/INTRALINK 3.3 with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire on Windows platforms must also download this file to restore the following Workspace capabilities: #object #import/export, #object #new, and #object #integrate.

 

Note:  The proe.exe is NOT required if using Pro/INTRALINK Release 3.3 with Pro/ENGINEER 2001, but the Pro/INTRALINK Client Libraries are required.
