Description ----------------- This issue exists in: 1. Pro/ENGINEER Release 2001, datecodes 2003360, 2003400, 2003440 2 Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, datecodes 2003370, 2003410, 2003450, 2003451 When deleting a layout parameter and creating a new parameter, the new parameter may reference a previously created one. An Example of this issue would be: - Delete the parameter "LAYOUT_PARAM" - Create a new parameters "NEW_PARAM" - Calling out "&NEW_PARAM" in a table cell may automatically change to call out a previously created parameter or a previously called out parameter may change to "&NEW_PARAM". Alternate Technique ----------------- To avoid the problem, a user should avoid deleting parameters in layouts in the affected datecodes of Pro/ENGINEER. If the user has already deleted parameters in layouts in the affected datecodes, they may avoid the problem by adding the same number of parameters with names alphabetically after all their real parameters, and not reference these new parameters in anything. (For example, having deleted 3 parameters, create 3 dummy parameters 'ZZZ_NOT_USED_1', 'ZZZ_NOT_USED_2', 'ZZZ_NOT_USED_3'. Resolution ----------------- This issue has been resolved in: 1. Release 2001 datecode 2003441 2. Wildfire datecode 2003490 3. The production release of Wildfire 2.0 |
