How does it work?
Remote condition monitoring is accomplished by harnessing IIoT (industrial internet of things) and AR (augmented reality) technologies to connect to equipment at remote locations. This allows for the ability to accumulate real-time data, combine that data with other “contextual” information (such as setpoints, specifications, etc.) and analyze it to automatically develop actionable insights. Examples of those actions include generating alarms and alerts, initiating a service ticket, or pushing data to another system, such as a quality management system.
How do IIoT and remote condition monitoring work together?
IIoT is changing the nature of products and the service delivery model
Remote monitoring your equipment and tapping into that data is the essential and proven first step in using IoT technologies to improve service opportunity, customer satisfaction, and reduce service costs.
