POC Patch installation fails with "source file web.xml doesn't exist" in Windchill PDMLink 11

Applies To

  • Windchill PDMLink 11.0 F000-CPS02 to M030
  • Issue not reproducible for fresh installation of Windchill 11 M010 CPS02
    • Only when updated from Windchill F000 CPS xx to Windchill 11 M010 CPS02

 

Description

  • PSI not able to find web.xml file
  • Patch install terminal output error:
jmx_configure:
     [echo] running DeploySolr.jmx_configure to configure JMX monitoring
     [echo] Copy the jxmcoreWeb.jar to Solr-webapp
     [copy] Copying 1 file to /opt/ptc/Windchill/Windchill/solr-webapp/WEB-INF/lib
     [echo] Copy the webAppMBeans.xml to Solr-webapp
     [copy] Copying 1 file to /opt/ptc/Windchill/Windchill/solr-webapp/WEB-INF
     [echo] Copy the log4jWebApp.properties to Solr-webapp
     [copy] Copying 1 file to /opt/ptc/Windchill/Windchill/solr-webapp/WEB-INF
     [echo] Replace windchill.log in log4jWebApp.properties to windchill-solr.log
     [echo] Replace the webapp name variable in web.xml file with Windchill Solr's webapp name
