What’s in Creo Elements/Direct 20.7?

The newest release of the industry-leading direct modeling software, Creo Elements/Direct, is now available! Creo Elements/Direct is PTC’s comprehensive system for mechanical engineers and designers who create products using the direct modeling approach to 3D CAD. Using Creo Elements/Direct in your product-design process can help shorten time to market, meet customer demands for new products, and satisfy increasingly complex customer requirements.

In Creo Elements/Direct 20.7, you’ll find new enhancements to Modeling, Annotation and Drafting. Plus, we’ve included updates that ensure full interoperability with Creo 11—the latest release of our award-winning CAD system.

Boost your productivity with these new capabilities. Discover more about each below:

Modeling

Enhanced 3D direct modeling tools

Use the new “Create Side Faces” option to control the geometric result for several 3D modeling tools, making it easier to quickly create geometry from surfaces with imprinted edges.

Performance Advisor for Modeling

Performance Advisor helps to increase operational productivity in product development and lower the cost of IT by helping to track performance, problems, and trends.

Annotation

Advances in Annotation will help increase your day-to-day productivity level. Annotation now supports:

Automatic bolt circle creation

Creation of searchable PDF drawings

Drafting

Searchable PDF creation is now available from the Drafting application. Plus, you can now create multi-sheet drawings in Drafting and manage them in a single .mi file or database object.

Multi-sheet drawings

Creo 11 compatibility

Enhanced data interoperability between Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and Creo Parametric enables easier transfer of density information into an automatically created material when importing or opening a Creo Elements/Direct model in Creo 11.

Data Management

  • Model Manager now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2022
  • Compatible Windchill Workgroup Manager support is planned for Creo Elements/Direct Modeling and Drafting 20.7.1.0 to be compatible with WWGM 13.0.2.1
