Ansys and PTC have partnered to accelerate product innovation by providing customers with best-in-class solutions for simulation-driven design. PTC has integrated Ansys simulation solvers and technology into Creo to create two distinct products.
The first, Creo Simulation Live, provides design engineers with instantaneous static structural, thermal, modal, and fluid flow design guidance, disrupting the traditional, time-intensive design process with instant feedback through real-time simulation.
The second product, Creo Ansys Simulation, is an easy-to-use, fully featured, high-fidelity simulation tool which leverages Ansys’ advanced simulation capabilities for thermal, structural, and modal analyses directly within Creo.
Material selection using Ansys insights
Product developers have traditionally focused on three main dimensions: cost, performance, and quality. However, sustainability has recently become a critical fourth dimension, requiring the integration of sustainability data and simulations into current development workflows.
Our integration with Ansys’ material database, Granta MI, enables users of both Creo and Windchill to make better material selections based on carbon footprint considerations. Using insights from Granta, designers can trade-off among performance, sustainability, and cost to select the most suitable, functional, and environmentally compliant materials.
