Creo View 3.0 M020: Internet Explorer (64-bit) does not immediately load and use the newly installed Creo View Version Checker 64-bit ActiveX plug-in, if it is installed immediately following the 32-bit plug-in
Modified: 29-Dec-2017
Applies To
- Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M020
- Creo View 3.0 M020
Description
- Internet Explorer (64-bit) browser does not immediately load and use the 'per-user' 64-bit Creo View Version Checker ActiveX Control (pvvercheck.ocx) after installing it from the Windchill Software Downloads Page
- This only occurs if installing the 64-bit Creo View Version Checker component after having installed the 32-bit Creo View Version Checker component (exactly in this order)
- It can happen at any Windchill client location which prompts you to install the pvvercheck component, including the Windchill Details page, etc.
- Installing the 64-bit version checker plugin from IE 64-bit browser does not acknowledge it
- The version checker gets installed but the Windchill Creo View installation page does not render correctly
