PublishToPreview task stuck in In-Progress state because of stale connection between publisher and viewer in Servigistics InService 6.2

Description

  • PublishToPreview hangs
    • Main task PublishToPreview shows In Progress but all the subtasks show Completed on task monitor
    • Transform And Load (TAL), TAL with collection, PublishToPreviewPreparation completes successfully
    • Cannot find any error/exception in <work.home>/Work/Applications/TaskManager/Work/TaskReport/<taskID>.log
  • PublishToPreview is failing with the following error in <software.home>/System/WildFly/Standalone/log/server.log:
    • On Viewer machine:
ERROR[org.jboss.remoting.remote.connection] (Remoting "config-based-naming-client-endpoint" I/O-1) JBREM000200: Remote connection failed: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host   ERROR[org.jboss.ejb.client.remoting] (Remoting "config-based-naming-client-endpoint" task-16) EJBCLIENT000016: Channel Channel ID bae727db (outbound) of Remoting connection 18340d30 to <publisher_serverName>/<IPAddress>:<port> can no longer process messages
  • On Publisher machine:

  • Publisher and Viewer on two DMZs with a firewall in between
