Description
SAT file import / export does not work in 3D Access as long as Modeling is not installed on the same system
- Have a system without (any) Creo Elements Direct Software installed
- Install Creo Elements/Direct 3D Access with default options
- Start 3D Access and open file, file type SAT
- Select a file (e.g. p2.sat from within the integration kit examples)
- --> the file is not loaded with the messages:

ACIS (SAT) Import : Translation of native format failed

- Now install Creo Elements/Direct Modeling with default options
- Switch back to the 3D Access and open file, file type SAT
- Select a file (e.g. p2.sat from within the integration kit examples)
- --> now the file is loaded without problem!
- Now UN-install Creo Elements/Direct Modeling
- Switch back to the 3D Access and open file, file type SAT
- Select a file (e.g. p2.sat from within the integration kit examples)
- --> the file is not loaded with the messages as shown above
- You can reproduce it even without closing the running instance of 3D Access
