Description

  • Installation fails because of missing root certificates with KEPServerEX / ThingWorx KEPWare Server 
  • Error in installation instructed to Verify File Signature Installation failed. KEPServerEX-6.X is not trusted
  • Error in pop-up:
Installation failed KEPServerEX-6.8.796.0.exe is not trusted
Installation failed KEPServerEX-6.9.exe is not trusted
Installation failed KEPServerEX-6.10.exe is not trusted
  • KEPServerEX Installation fails due to root certificates on Windows Server 2016
  • KEPServerEX Installation fails with message:
The installer was unable to find required root certificates. Please apply windows updates.
  • Warnings from KEPServerEX 6.7/ThingWorx KEPWare Server 6.7 and earlier are below:
    • Error message in pop-up Check Root Certificates
    • Installation of KEPServerEX-[version].exe failed. The installer was unable to find required certificates. Please apply windows updates. If unable to apply Windows updates, contact support for instructions on installing root certificates
    • Error message indicating: "Installation failed. KEPServerEX (version) is not trusted"
    • Errors in C:\Program Files (x86)\Kepware\KEPServerEX\bootstrap.log  or  C:\Program Files (x86)\PTC\ThingWorxindustrialConnectivity\bootstrap.log
