Evaluate the Project

Once your end users have been using Vuforia Expert Capture for a few weeks, evaluate how the project went. Gather your team for a meeting or workshop to discuss their experiences and gather their feedback. Look for opportunities to improve on your next project.

01. Complete project retrospective

After you deploy Vuforia Expert Capture, evaluate how the project went: a project retrospective is your opportunity to reflect on the project. Gather feedback from the project team, employees who helped create the procedures, employees who are using those procedures, and anyone else involved with Vuforia Expert Capture.

Explore questions like:

  • Did you achieve the outcome you identified for your use case? For example, if your use case is to decrease training time for new hires, has Vuforia Expert Capture helped your organization do training more quickly?
  • What went well throughout the project?
  • What was challenging?
  • What did you learn?
  • How could you have done things differently?
  • What are the benefits of using Expert Capture compared to using printed work instructions or previous methods?
  • How can you improve for the next project?
  • Were there any skillsets missing from the project team?
  • Was the timeline appropriate?
  • Did you have enough user seats?

The project retrospective helps you identify opportunities to improve processes, reallocate resources, and change your approach. It also helps you communicate positive outcomes as you encourage others to adopt Vuforia Expert Capture.

02. Evaluate devices

Now that employees are using Vuforia Expert Capture to perform their jobs, determine whether the devices they’re using to capture and view procedures are ideal (mobile devices, tablets, eyewear devices, or computers). Get feedback from those who captured procedures and a diverse range of viewers. If possible, observe them using Vuforia Expert Capture in their real-world environment.

Explore questions like:

  • Are there any challenges that arise when someone is using the device?
  • If using multiple devices, do users prefer one versus another?
  • Does the person using the device experience any physical discomfort?
  • Are the devices performing as expected?
  • If using a mobile device, tablet, or computer; would a hands-free eyewear device work better?

The feedback you receive will help you make decisions about devices for future Vuforia Expert Capture projects. As you grow your program, you may consider adopting additional devices or retiring existing ones.
