Captions

When adding captions to your videos, follow these guidelines:

Caption Format:

• Use the .SRT format (SubRip Subtitle file) for captions

Localization:

• Native language captions should be included with all video uploads
  • Localization may need native language captions to make translations

On-Screen Text and Graphics:

• Position any on-screen text and graphics within the title-safe zone to ensure text remains readable when captions are enabled

Burned-In Captions Style:

• Use a dyslexia accessible font, such as Open Sans
• White text on PTC Dark Grey [#3D4647] is acceptable
• White text on black is acceptable
• White text on a black shadow is acceptable if minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio is met
